The image zone

3 Nights a week the team chat to people on the streets. At the moment Lee and Rachel do this, with help from friends who come along to meet everyone. there's normally a bit of banter, catching up with the news and some people want to share their opinions about God and Jesus. Some even ask for prayer. The team really enjoy this part of what they do. They also invite people to come to living room centre during the day to chill or get help of somekind.

Team

Here are some of the team who run the Living Room during the day. Rachel (3rd from left) and Lee (right) are leading the work on the streets and in the clubs at night. The others in this picture are John, Beverley, Steve and Toni. The aim is to make friends, help as many of those with practical needs as humanly possible, and - most of all - help people to connect with God.

PRs and others

Most of those who turn up in Tenerife start by getting a job as a PR. This means standing outside a bar or club and doing public relations - which means pursuading those who pass by to come in for a drink. It is not well paid, but it is the first step on the ladder. Others work in the bars, are lap-dancers or bouncers. This crowd are just a pile of those who happened to be there on a day we decided to take photographs! All are welcome in the Living Room!
